 I guess I am a little late....

Oh boy, this is just a mite overdue I'm afraid. It only has taken me how many days now? Since the 24th of January!? Darn. Well, I'm here now, and you dear readers get to hear all about my wonderful time over here.

Well, we've taken countless trains, visited two cathedrals, two castles, and saw a partridge in a pear tree. I must say that my favorite spot is right by the river Thames, right in front of the Tower of London. It's a marvelous view, with the Tower Bridge crossing the river, (not to be confused with THE London Bridge) the Liberty Bounds within a five-minute walk. Probably the best place in all of London, the Liberty Bounds has the best meal I've had here: cottage pie with a pint of Pepsi. I really like the pubs here. :content:

On the touring side of things, let me say that we went to Windsor Castle, AND the Queen arrived about an hour after we did! Totally cool if you ask me. The Crown Jewels were exceptionally marvelous, not to mention the other solid-gold things that called the Tower of London home. We've gone to The British Museum (more than once), a few more other interesting places in Cambridge which I cannot recall, and the up to Norwich as well. One of my coolest adventures in Cambridge that I've taken however is my semi-daily/whenever I can jog up to the American Cemetery. If it wasn't so cold half the time, it would be a beautiful place to be, not that it isn't already. But it is a little humbling to look at the hundreds of white crosses that dot the landscape and to think that they died helping other countries find their freedom.

Well anyway, before I get sentimental or something, I don't have a whole lot left to say believe it or not. There's just too much to put into a thousand entries! School is school and life is life, and all is well with the world. I hope everyone is doing alright without me! I can't wait to see everyone when I get home!

And for all those who might not have seen this on my mom's blog, this is what I'm resigned to do in my spare time...

I'm sure this goes without saying, but that is a beautiful photograph.  Oh, and to avoid any confusion, I mean the black and white background, not the...one with the lion.  =)

Yes, I agree, FF. It's great to see an entry. Now, make sure to post again. Maybe you could tell the world how wonderful your mother is.

Nice to see you're alive... so jealousy-inspiring how you name all these things that would be so cool to see so casually...

A thought just struck me (Bonk!):  what is "cottage pie?"  Is it a cottage made into a pie?  Or a pie made into a cottage?  Or pie eaten in a cottage?  Tell me what it is, or I'll throw a pie, cottage or otherwise, in your face!
